The Street Preacher

Bart Dawson thought he could put it all behind him, all of the physical, emotional, and sexual abuse he'd been forced to endure as a child, all in the name of religion. The years he'd spent in counselling had helped him through all of the bitter memories of his childhood torment and turmoil, and he thought he would never have to look back on those horrifying events so long as he lived. Then along came a relic of his terrible past—not a direct link, mind you, but still too much of a bitter reminder, and far too close to comfort: a homeless street preacher, who predicts damnation for Bart Dawson's soul and for the world as a whole if Bart doesn't soon renounce his "sinful" ways. A minor nuisance at first, it isn't until the Street Preacher begins to threaten those Bart loves and cares for that he soon realizes that the old man may be a lot more than just a petty annoyance.
