MISC : PC Hosting's Acceptable Use Policy

We thank you immensely for choosing PC Hosting (Politically Correct Hosting) for all of your hosting needs. We invite you to start off with our free hosting plan of 20 Megabytes disk space and 500 Megabytes of monthly transfer, completely free of charge, to get a feel for our system. With this, you get a web-based file manager. At any time, you may upgrade to our Premium Package, which will give you CGI, PHP, mySQL, ASP, and FTP access, as well as the option to get your very own domain name, along with 50 Megabytes of disk space and 5 Gigabytes of bandwidth per month. You will get all of this for $5 a month. If at any time you need more space, you may upgrade to our Professional Package for $20 a month, and you get all the things in the Premium Package, plus 500 Megabytes of disk space and 20 Gigabytes of monthly transfer.

Before you sign up, please read the rules carefully, because if you are in violation of these rules at any time, your site will be deleted without warning, and you will not be given a refund. We urge everyone to have fun with their sites, but in order to keep the Web a fun place for all, we must make these rules to prevent people from being offended by your sites and to prevent feelings from being hurt. Thus, we hope you do not have any problems with following our very simple rules laid forth here:

1. All free packages must display our advertisements. Advertisements include three pop-ups, plus a 500X100 pixel banner ad at the top and bottom of each page. If you wish to have the ads removed, you will have to upgrade to the Premium Package. Please respect the advertisements, as they allow us to offer a free hosting plan.
2. Material that promotes anything illegal, is explicitly forbidden at PC Hosting. PC Hosting welcomes only law-abiding sites, as well as sites that follow our rules. Examples of content that promotes, condones, or contributes to illegal activity on the net include but are not limited to:
   • Bomb-making recipes.
   • Anything having to do with hacking or viruses.
   • Anything promoting or condoning drug use.
   • Child pornography
   • Anything that infringes a copyright or trademark
3. Your site must not contain any erotic material whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to: blatant pornography, erotic textual descriptions, the use of words that could in any way be construed as sexual euphemisms (terms such as "cockpit", the use of "Dick" as short for Richard), medical information that in any way involves the anatomy of sexual, reproductive organs, or sites relating to topics for which a fetish exists for that topic. For example, you may not have a Web site that has anything to do with feet, because many people have a foot fetish, and so to them, such a site would induce a sexual reaction within them, and so such material could be considered pornographic to them.
4. Your site must not contain any hate speech or anything that could be construed as being racist, sexist, homophobic, or goes against any particular creed, religion, or sexual orientation. Any material that in any way gives off a negative depiction of any specific group of people, setting, etc., is forbidden at PC Hosting. An example of a site forbidden under this rule would be a site about Peter Pan because Captain Hook is a villain who lost his hand, and so gives a negative portrayal of people with disabilities.
5. As per the rule above, there are to be no hate sites of any kind. Any site that is hateful against anything, whether it be against a particular brand of food, a TV program, or anything else is a negative site. Sites used as a means of venting your frustrations against your day-to-day trials and tribulations, or complaining about anything in particular has an adverse effect on others in that it brings everyone else down with you. PC Hosting must remain a positive Internet community completely devoid of anything even remotely negative or hateful.
6. Many people are offended by the use of swear words, so your site must not contain any profanity whatsoever or even hint at profanity. To be on the safe side, you should not use words that rhyme or sound similar to swear words either. Examples of such words that you are required to stay away from because of this include, but are not limited to: duck, luck, slit, ship, hit, lass, glass, bass, grass, gas, itch, snitch, glitch, hitch, ditch, hiss, hunt, etc.
7. Because certain opinions have the potential to ignite negative emotions within those who read or hear of them, you are required to refrain from expressing any opinion that is in any way radical, extremist, or unpopular. You are allowed to express your opinions on anything you want provided that such opinions are positive and are well accepted by the general public.
8. Children are sacred and precious, so your site must not in any way harmful to children, their innocence, and it must not paint a negative picture of children.

PC Hosting frequently checks our hosted site for conformance to our Acceptable Use Policy, and any site found in violation is subject for immediate deletion. These rules are subject to change at any time, with or without prior notice, so it is suggested that you review these from time to time, because once the changes go into effect, your agreement will include any and all revisions made to our Acceptable Use Policy.
