Zero Hour serves as a private archive for my writings, particularly my works of fiction. Everything I've written—from "short" to not so short stories—is included here. Most of my stories are pretty dark, morbid, and violent in nature, so if you're into stories like that, you've probably come to the right place. If not, that's cool, too. I realize that my stuff probably isn't for everybody. All of my stories can be found in the "Literature" column, and you'll get an accurate description of what they are about. At some point in the future, I might try to get some of these stories actually published, but for the time being, posting them on this site is good enough.
There are also a few other features, such as surveys and tests that I have created, which you might find useful or at the very least entertaining.
If you like what you see here, feel free to sign the guestbook or send an email leaving me some feedback.
Zero Hour was born on May 16, 2001.

February 21, 2008 (10:20pm): Yeah, I'm still around. Sorry I haven't updated much in the site; odds are, the days of me updating every 4 days or so are probably long gone though hopefully I'll add things from time to time. I only finished 3 stories in 2007, as opposed to 6-10 stories per year from 2004-2006; however, these stories are much longer than most of the stories I wrote between 2004-2006 so maybe it balances out somehow. One of those stories, Switch has already been posted for several months. I do have one really short story I wrote in January that I might try to get posted at some point soon. I also have a few ideas for Notron Man comics that I could possibly do if that joke hasn't gotten too old just yet. At this time, however, I'm actually trying my hand at writing another novel so for the time being at least I don't want to work on anything else other than that Novel and seeing where I can go with it. That doesn't mean there won't ever be updates for Zero Hour; but like I said, the days of updates every 4 days are gone for the foreseeable future. I have been toying with the idea of a reviews section for the site for movies and books that I like and maybe for some shit I really hate. Obviously the whole purpose of Zero Hour is to be an entertaining site and while positive reviews are good for telling the reader whether or not something might be worth seeing, negative reviews have a greater entertainment potential (look at Angry Video Game Nerd, for instance); at the same time, it's been a while since I saw a lot of things that I ended up fucking despising, and most of the time if I hated something that much, I probably won't want to have to sit through it again even if get everything fresh in my mind, so not sure how well that would work out. I'm not promising that I'm actually going to do this either, but it might not be such a bad idea to keep the site alive. We'll see.
For fans of Stephen King who haven't yet picked up Duma Key yet, I'm almost done with the book at the time of this writing (a little less than 100 pages to go) and I'd have to say that it's pretty good. It's not as good as classics such as It, The Shining, or The Stand, but it's probably one of his better recent novels (certainly a hell of a lot better than Dark Tower 7), so I'd say it's worth picking up, though I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to wait until it gets released in paperback.
And of course being a fan of the Saw franchise, I was sure to pick up Saw IV on DVD and was pleasantly surprised in that it wasn't as stupid as I feared it would be. Well, Jigsaw swallowing a tape recorder and having them find it inside his stomach and having the thing still work properly was pretty stupid, but the rest of the movie was pretty good despite the plot having some parallels to that of Saw III; it was still interesting to see how Jigsaw started out and everything.
Guess I could always make this into some kind of blog or something but I've never been good at keeping up with those things so probably not.
